Our BOOKMATCHED pattern is inspired by an amazing woodworking tradition utilized in fine cabinet and instrument making. In this technique a thick board is split down the side, creating two thinner boards, and then opened like a book. These halves are joined and the grain of the two sides create an organic mirror image. We use proprietary carving and forging techniques to achieve the same look in our solid stainless steel BOOKMATCHED pattern rings.
Because of their symmetry, BOOKMATCHED bands are ideally suited for inlaying with a thin stripe of precious metal down the centerline of the ring.
BOOKMATCHED bands also come in matching men's sizes.

The BOOKMATCHED patterned ring is one of our more demanding styles to make. It requires precision carving and multiple forging operations to coax the organic symmetry out of specially created Damascus material. We think the results are a testament to time and energy well spent!
